Trial & fitting
A trial is a period of wearing a hearing aid before you decide. It is how you find out whether a device actually helps you — in your own life, not in the clinic.
What a trial is
If the hearing test indicates a device, you do not have to buy one on the spot. You can try one first.
- During a trial, we do not insist on a particular brand. Comfort, hearing benefit and clinical suitability decide.
- You wear it in real situations — conversation, the phone, television, a group — and we adjust as needed.
- A trial does not oblige you to buy. If it does not help, or you are not ready, that is a legitimate outcome.
``
Why we recommend a trial before buying
A device can cost anything from the entry level to lakhs. Buying before trying is how people end up with something too complicated, too expensive, or wrong for the situations that matter to them.
The trial is where we find out:
- whether a device helps you in the specific situations you described;
- which brand suits you better;
- how much technology you actually need — often less than expected.
Two people, one decision
Often the person who notices is not the person who wears the device. A trial only works if the person who will actually wear it is comfortable with it.
Bring the person who will wear it. Let them try it, in their own life, at their own pace. The best device is the one they will keep wearing — not the one that looks best on a price list.
What happens when you decide
``
The typical path:
- You choose the device that fits your hearing, your life and your budget — from the honest band, not the top of the range.
- We fit it — the appointment where the aid is set up and programmed for your hearing.
- We fine-tune it over the first days and weeks as your brain adjusts.
- We show you how to use and care for it — batteries or charging, cleaning, the app if there is one.
- You come back for re-checks, at no charge.
Payment: we do not offer EMI or instalments at present. ``
Brands
We dispense Signia and Oticon. `` We keep the portfolio small on purpose, and we will recommend whichever suits your hearing.
``
The promise underneath all of this
- We will recommend only what the test shows. Including recommending nothing, or the simpler device.
- No commission decides it. No sales target, no "today only" price.
- You can stop at any point. The trial is a try, not a commitment.
``
Start with the test
A trial can only follow a test that shows a device is indicated. If you have not had one yet:
