Can’t travel? We can come to you.

Cornerstone Hearing is the audiology practice of Cornerstone Therapy Solutions, in Hegde Nagar, north Bangalore. ``

Start here

If you are reading this for yourself, or for a parent whose hearing you have started to worry about, here is the honest summary:

  • A test takes about ``, and you leave knowing what your hearing is doing.
  • If your hearing is within normal limits, or a device will not help, we will tell you so. That is a complete outcome, not a failed sale.
  • If a device is indicated, we recommend the one your hearing and your life need — and we will say so if a simpler device is enough.

Dignity in Audiology. `` We do not push a device because it sells. We recommend what is clinically appropriate, and we explain the reasoning so you can check it with any doctor you trust.

What actually happens when you come in

One test, one explanation, one recommendation. No pressure to decide on the day.

  1. You book — by phone, WhatsApp or a short form. ``
  2. We ask what you have noticed. Your own words first: the television, the phone, conversations in a group, ringing in the ears.
  3. We test your hearing. A hearing test is a set of simple, painless measurements — you sit in a quiet room and respond to soft sounds through headphones, and we also check how your ears and eardrums are working.
  4. We explain the result on screen. We show you the audiogram — the chart of what your hearing can and cannot hear — before we mention any device.
  5. We say whether a device is indicated. Sometimes it is not. Sometimes it is. Sometimes the honest answer is "not yet".
  6. If you choose a device, we fit it and look after it. Follow-up and aftercare are at no charge, and the person who fits it is the person who looks after it.

"If the test shows you do not need a device, that is a complete outcome — we will tell you so."

The two of you, one decision

Often it is one person who notices and another who wears the device — an adult child who is worried, and a parent who is not sure they need anything.

We plan for both of you. Bring the person who will wear it. They are the one who has to be comfortable with the answer, and the best device is the one they will actually use — not the one that looks best on a price list.

You can take our recommendation away and think about it. It will still be right tomorrow.

Why we charge when others say "free"

We are not arguing that we are cheaper — we are not. We are saying that a free test is paid for somewhere, usually at the point of sale. Our charge is what keeps the recommendation independent: there is no discount waiting at the end of your test, and no target that decides what we suggest. You are paying for a straight answer, not a sales visit.

``

What we do — and what we don't

We do: hearing tests and consultation, BERA for infants and children (with a same-day report), device trials, fitting, aftercare at no charge, and home visits for people who cannot easily travel.

We do not: offer a free hearing test, offer EMI or instalments, offer heavy discounts, or provide adult speech-and-swallowing therapy. We do not have a cochlear-implant programme. ``

Who we are

  • Founded in 2022 by Dr. Vidyasagar Kancharapu ``, who began his career as an audiologist and also practises speech-language pathology.
  • One Master's-qualified audiologist ``
  • Part of Cornerstone Therapy Solutions, which has served families in the area for over twelve years.
  • We dispense Signia and Oticon — two brands, deliberately, not a wall of them. ``

Book a hearing test

If you would like your hearing (or a parent's) properly assessed, the next step is a hearing test.

  • Secondary: Request a callback — for when you would rather talk to someone first, or you are asking on someone else's behalf.

We will tell you the full charge before you book, and we will not use urgency or limited-time offers. There are none here.

Two people make this decision

Often it is one person who notices and another who wears the device — an adult child who is worried, and a parent who is not sure they need anything.

If you are the adult child

You probably noticed something before your parent did: the television getting louder, “what?” more often, missed phone calls, sitting out of the conversation at family gatherings. You are also the one likely to be researching this, and paying for it.

  • The test comes first, and the recommendation comes from the test.
  • If a device is not needed, we say so. If a simpler device is enough, we recommend that.
  • You get a written recommendation you can take to any doctor for a second opinion.
  • No commission decides the recommendation, and there is no “today only” price.
  • You can take your time. It will still be right tomorrow.

If you are the senior

If someone in your family has suggested this — or you have quietly wondered about it yourself — you are the person whose hearing it actually is, and the decision about what to do is yours.

  • You are not being told you are old. Hearing changes with age for most people. Dealing with it is not a decline; it is maintenance, like glasses.
  • You may not need a device at all. Sometimes a test finds something explained by earwax, an infection or another cause. We will tell you what we find.
  • You can start small. You do not have to solve everything at once. Start with what is genuinely enough for the situations that matter to you.
  • Nobody is going to pressure you. The test is the test. What you do with the result is up to you.

If the test shows you don't need one, we'll tell you so.
